Q: What are the dues for 2009-2010?

A:  Fall - $215

     Spring - $250

Q: Where does the due money go?

A:   There are various expenses involved with maintaining a rugby team. There are   organizational costs such as Referee dues, SCRFU dues, USA rugby dues, and Long Beach tournament entry fees.
 
Moving an entire rugby team also costs a lot, with transportation accounting for nearly 50% of our team’s operating expense. This includes van rentals for LA games, the bus rental for the UNLV trip, and gasoline.
 
Feeding and lodging the team is also a significant part of our budget- staying at hotels and eating certain meals, as well as providing pizza at the end of our games, which makes a difference in creating a good name for our club.
 

Q: How does one go about paying the dues?

A:  Dues are paid online through the sports clubs registration page of the USD website. There are 2 methods, either paying by credit card or through class credit. This will outline, step by step, the process that will enable you to successfully make one, not less or more, payment to the rugby club.
 
         Step 1- Go to Sports Club Registration <http://www.sandiego.edu/campusrecreation/register/clubs.php> .
 
         Step 2- Enter your username and password.
         
         Step 3- This will take you to an information form which you must fill that out and select our club: Men’s Rugby. The last part of this is the most important, where it says, “Payment Information.” Now you have 3 options:
 
a:  Credit Card – self explanatory.
b:  Campus Cash – just another option, but I am not positive if this works or not--if someone could confirm with me that’d be great.
c:   Credit Class – This option will bill your Student Account which you pay as if it were additional tuition. It can be paid off whenever your bill would be paid off, or if you are on monthly payment plans it will just get factored right in. Please note that you must be registered for the class on WebCT to pay via this method. If you are not able to register for the class for whatever reason, you will pay through credit card. Please Advise, if you select this method, do NOT enter a credit card, because you will be billed twice. This would be refundable obviously, but it is an annoying process that you most certainly want to avoid.
 
Step 4- Enter card information and then complete confirmation. Congratulations, you may now play.
